Handmade from recycled metal

Much of our yard art starts life as scrap metal that artisans cut, bend, weld and paint into animals and flowers. The result is sturdy, a little rustic and full of personality, the kind of piece that makes neighbors slow down when they drive by.

When we opened, we wondered if quirky metal art would sell in Austin. It turns out Austin loves it. Keep Austin weird, and colorful.

What you will find in the yard

  • Metal longhorns and bulls, a Texas favorite
  • Roosters, chickens and flying pigs
  • Dinosaurs, giraffes, flamingos and armadillos, some taller than you
  • Mariachi bands and musicians
  • Metal flowers, sunflowers and cactus, plus metal cactus lamps
  • Wall art: suns, moons and stars

Indoors and out

Smaller pieces work on a mantel, a wall or a bookshelf. The big ones belong by the front gate, in a flower bed or next to the pool. Ask us and we will help you pick the right size for your space.

Rust, patina and paint

Outdoor metal changes with the weather. Some people love the patina, others want it bright. Our guide on keeping metal yard art looking good covers both.

Metal yard art: common questions

Is the metal yard art made in Mexico?

Yes. Our metal yard art is handmade by artisans in Mexico, much of it from recycled metal.

Will metal yard art rust outside?

Bare metal will develop a rusty patina over time, which many people like. Painted pieces keep their color longer, and a clear outdoor sealant once a year helps. See our guide.

Do you have large pieces like dinosaurs and longhorns?

Yes. Large pieces like dinosaurs, longhorns, giraffes and flamingos are some of our most popular items. Stock changes often, so call (512) 704-6318 to check.

Can you help me load a large sculpture?

Yes, we will help you load it. Bring a truck or SUV for the large pieces.

Come walk the yard.

Most of what we carry never makes it online. The best way to find your piece is to wander the store on FM 620.
