Mi casa es tu casa, since 2011
YESimports opened in May 2011 with a simple idea: bring the work of Mexican artisans to Austin, and tell the stories behind it.

Handpicked in Mexico
Rigo Lizaola started YESimports to share the work of Mexican artisans with Austin. He travels to Mexico to visit the workshops, meet the artisans and pick each piece himself: Talavera from Puebla and Guanajuato, equipales from Jalisco, metal art and folk art from towns across the country. About 95% of what we carry is made in Mexico. The rest is mostly our Vietnamese ceramic outdoor planters, which we bring in because nothing else stands up to Texas weather as well.
That is why our shelves and yard look different from anything else in Austin. Every piece is chosen by a person, not a catalog.
More than a store
We believe in preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Mexico. Our mission goes beyond selling things. It is about connecting you with the stories, myths and techniques that bring these crafts to life.
Austin made us weirder
When we opened, we were not sure Austin would go for a five-foot metal flamingo. Austin went for it. More than a decade later, our customers from Four Points, Cedar Park, Lakeway and all over Central Texas keep coming back, and keep sending friends.
confirm Rigo, please review this page and add anything you want customers to know.
What Austin says
Keep Austin colorful.
Come walk the yard.
Most of what we carry never makes it online. The best way to find your piece is to wander the store on FM 620.
